Grim-n-Gritty feedback

Has anyone used the Grim-n-Gritty system that has any feedback on it? I haven't used it for many years but I keep thinking about it and I am considering it for my next campaign. I don't remember how well my group at the time liked it, although I remember it was a short run that ended in TPK.

Any advice for such a campaign would be appreciated.
