I love play by post, I hate sifting through pages of ads. If you see a character here who you'd like in your campaign, please PM me and I can make that happen. It'll be pretty easy to convert these to 3.5e or Pathfinder, 5e I may need a little help. I am presently in the process of redoing all of these, and four of them are entirely new.

*Warhorns are an initiative booster. You use your first turn to give a full-party bonus to initiative equal to 1/2 your modified perform skill, so basically a full party +5 in her case. Though this is still burning an entire turn to go earlier in sequence, and the people who They're even more useful with Heimdallr's Gjallarhorn feat, which allows a warhorn user to always go first on the first round regardless of initiative, as long as they're blowing a warhorn, so your party can go first in the first round and take the enemy out while they're still flat-footed.

**Matches are great. They're 100/£, can be used as a standard action (where flint and steel is a full-round action), and although they require a dex check it's only DC 10 in good conditions, though adverse weather does screw that up pretty good (it can hit 50, which is effectively impossible). Sure, that's more expensive in the long run than a flint and steel, but a flint and steel just isn't as effective or convenient as the ordinary kitchen match. Because weather is an issue in her region, Felicia bought stormproof matches. They're 10/£ and are affected only a quarter as much by adverse weather conditions (so the DC will never exceed 20, even if rain's coming down in buckets in a hurricane). Really, you should always have a source of fire in this setting.

Felicia is a tank, full stop. She took a very expensive suit of armour with no type weakness (but lower AC), a helmet to buff its AC (though that'd be better with different armour) and make it so crits don't bypass her DR either. She spent two feats and most of her starting money getting her AC, DR and ER higher, and her best abilities are her charisma (for lay on hands and better saves) and constitution (hit points and fortitude). She is very hard to put down, but then she's also slow and has poor offensive power when not using her smite.

Fucienne is a guerrilla warrior. She wears heavy clothing instead of armour, only carries a small shield and can not only use dex to hit with everything, but she uses dex for damage when cutting. Her grenades send sphrapnel flying in a 20ft spread for 5d6 pierce damage, her dynamite lets out a massive blast wave in a 10ft spread for 10d6 bludgeon damage, and she's got ten whole boxes of kitchen matches both to light fuses and for common arson. Her purpose in life (in Aelsif) is to inflict as much damage to her homeland's fascist theocratic regime as humanly possible. And since this is Aelsif, whether she's good, evil or neutral is left up to interpretation.

*A medium armour designed to be usable without arcane spell failure in exchange for providing far less protection. Only really works when paired with a shield and a helmet, but it could be argued this is the best a caster can do. Or it could be argued it would have been better to stick with clothing and get less AC, but a little DR. It certainly isn't worth the feats, so it's mostly an armour for multiclass casters.

This is Felicia's little sister. Raised by a civilian self-defence instructer, both of them have a background in martial arts. The difference is how they branched out later. Lyn had good leadership skills and took up magic as well, and when both became mercenaries Lyn quickly became an NCO and Felicia didn't, though frankly it's a wonder they made it in at all, the military certainly wouldn't have accepted girls so young.

**Pick a dwarven deity, get all the benefits of worshipping that deity in addition to Odin. She chose Heimdallr, granting his favored weapon and access to his feats. That includes Gram, so once she's run out of spears she can switch to sword and shield and get those nasty critical attacks of opportunity.

I guess I need a new post to do this and not get an error? And for some reason the first try just didn't work? Well, whatever. I'm rolling for Felicia right now, as part of my redos. (I originally did point-buy.) I figured doing it with the dice roller here would be appropriate.

It's mostly a crack about how useless level 1 characters are. It takes four of them to fight a stray dog, they'll lose a fight with a house cat, they can't hear a BATTLE a hundred feet away, they get killed by a 10ft fall, they touch a fire and burst into flames, a thousand of them will lose a fight with a single 20th level fighter, they are so far beyond worthless a baby would be just as (and quite often MORE) capable. I'm willing to go the extra mile and actually play the babies, but they're on the list as a joke.
