This thread will contain spoilers of the Stardust Crusaders arc from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
The idea is to make a stand master character within the core rulebooks, inspired by Jotaro and Dio.
Let's start from the simple things:
Monk of the Way of the Sun Soul.
This class is already by itself very prone to a stand user fluff: you are a martial that goes unarmed and some of your attacks can do radiant damage to a limited range. Sun Bolt can easily be refluffed as the character summoning the stand, it can flurry, and it deals radiant damage, which fits the theme of the hamon. Plus the unarmored defese can be refluffed as the Stand deflecting or absorbing the hits.
One could be satisfied with this, but let's go deeper: (Spoilers start from here)
Warlock 2 (Fey patron)/Bard (Lore) X
(Magic initiate feat for shield)
No Sun Soul? But it was an amazing start!
Yes, but playing a Sun Soul will never let you [SPOILER] twist time like Jotaro and Dio's stand do, and that's why we need a full caster, and the fluff can even improve.
The warlock dip is to use Agonizing Repelling Blast, this will be the primary if not only source of damage, and represents the summoning and hits of the stand. Fey will give you access to faerie fire and that mini frightful presence that every character from the JoJo series has.
Bard gives you full spellcasting progression so that you will be able to get Time Stop at 20th level and lots of slots to use Shield (aka your stand protecting you) and Slow, which you will acquire at Character level 8 through Magical secrets. Bard also gives mechanical weight to wild lines and catch phrases through cutting words and vicious mockery.
And that's basically it, you can play as an eldritch blaster and as a buffer/debuffer, the point is doing it JoJo style!
As a bonus your Patron could be an autonomous Stand like the one from Diamond Is Unbreakable, but is related to the Feywild.
Do you have any other ideas that you think would fit the theme better and be more effective?
There probably are typos so I'll edit and correct those whenever I notice them or if you point them out.
Edit: the Bard doesn't get Time Stop, so if one really wants it, could multiclass Sorcerer instead of bard, this way you could use Magic Initiate to get Vicious Mockery and still keep the mechanical wild line flavour. On top of that Metamagic would allow you more flexibility.
Edit2: silly me, magical secrets happen at level 18 too.
