Elan's Spells

After this, I'm hoping V will take even more interest in Elan's casting abilities. Sadly, if Elan continues Dashing Swordsman, which probably isn't a caster PrC, he won't get more spells, but if he does I'd like to see V shape his spell list to be either be more effective or compensate for the lack of Conjuration via shadow conj or at least dim door. Having at level 12-3 it'd be him and only 4 others, with great plotness for whomever gets left behind. :smallbiggrin:

Elan has always been played underpowered, it's nice to see him being a bit more effective.

Grease would be one of his best spells right now, it would thrown the hobgoblins into chaos as they fall to the ground if they try to charge back up the gangplank.

As for spellcasting while fighting, illusions of an army rounding a corner and charging down on Elan might scare away anyone Elan is fighting.

V has helped Elan out with his spellcasting before--in #66, where his assistance helped defeat Thog, and Elan mentions that V has been helping him out with his illusions in #217 as well.
