I had drawn up this archetype because I had a player that really wanted the Magus's abilities while being good at some more of the sneaking and infiltration abilities. I'm thinking, though, that I may have overshot the mark a little and would like another pair of eyes on it. At the end of the day, a high level one of these should feel somewhere between a duelist and an Arcane Trickster.

Magus of the Streets (Magus Archetype)

Class Skills:
The magus's class skills are Acrobatics, Appraise, Bluff, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Disable Device, Escape Artist, Intimidate, Knowledge(all), Linguistics, Perception, Profession, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, Spellcraft, Stealth, and Use Magic Device.

You now have 6+int modifier skill ranks per level.

This modifies your class skills feature.

Bardic Knowledge
At first level, you gain Bardic Knowledge as a Bard of your Magus level. This replaces Arcane Pool.

Underworld Arcana:
You lose the ability to pick any Magus Arcana that uses the Arcane Pool. Instead, you are allowed to take Rogue Tricks that do not require Sneak Attack that are selected from the base Rogue list of tricks.

You also gain access to these new arcana.

Arcane Trapfinding (ex/su): You gain the ability to find magical traps with Perception. This effect is (ex).
You may as a swift action expend a spell slot to gain a competence bonus to perceive and disable magical traps equal to twice your spell level of the slot expended for 1 minute. This effect is (su).

This arcana counts as Trapfinding.

Suppress Aura (su): When you are in vicinity of a spell that can detect magical auras on your items, your person, or any spells affecting you, you may attempt a Will save using the normal caster DC if the spell comes from a caster, or 10 + 1.5 times the spell level if the spell comes from an item.

If you succeed on this save, as long as the spell is active, you may choose any number of magical effects on you. All of these effects are hidden from the spell.

You must be at least a 9th level magus to take this arcana.

This modifies Magus Arcana.

Improvisational spell (Ex)
At 4th level, you may cast any spell that is in your spellbook by using any spell slot one level higher. This only applies to your Magus spell slots, and you cannot add metamagic to the spell. If the spell takes 1 standard action to cast, it now has a casting time of 1 round. All other spells have a minimum casting time of 1 minute.

This replaces spell recall.

Excessive Book Learning (Ex)
At 5th level, all of your class skills have ranks equal to 1/2 your intelligence modifier (min 1), unless you already have more ranks. You may make checks in all of your non-class skills as if they were trained. This replaces Knowledge Pool.

Slippery Mind (ex)
At 7th level, you gain Slippery Mind as the Rogue advanced class feature.

This replaces the Medium Armor class feature.

Spell Mimicry (ex)
At 11th level, when you prepare your spells, you can either use a scroll or have an ally use a spell slot with a specific spell. The spell within a scroll or chosen by your ally becomes a Known Spell and a spell on your spell list until you prepare spells again.

For determining the level of a spell that is available on multiple lists, choose the highest group of casters, then the lowest level within that group.

Wizard/Sorcerer, Arcanist

Witch, Cleric/Oracle, Druid, Shaman

Bard, Inquisitor, Summoner, Warpriest, Skald

Paladin, Ranger, Bloodrager

(DM Note: If you are pulling an exclusive spell from another caster, the guideline is Magus, Arcane that can cast up to 9ths, Divine/Hybrid that can cast up to 9ths, caster that can cast up to 6ths, base class that can cast to 4ths, prestige class).

This replaces Improved Spell Recall.

Duelist's Poise (Ex)
At 13th level, when you do not use Spell Combat, all attacks against you that you are aware of have a 20% miss chance. This bonus does not apply if you are flat-footed or you are denied your Dexterity bonus to your AC. This miss chance does not stack with visual miss chances like those given by Blur or Invisibility.

This replaces the Heavy Armor class feature.
