View Full Version : Multi-coloured text generation?

So i'm working on an image that really calls for some neat multi-coloured text, thinking red on top, orange on the bottom, and a nice gradiant merging the two of them together. You'd think something like this would be simple but so far i've had no luck on google, in paint.net, or in open office.

Does anyone know of a place where i can generate such text? prefferibly a place where i can dictate the size of the text so i can make it nice and big for my image.

Photoshop? Inkscape? I haven't used paint.net but I see no reason why it couldn't be done there.

I'm 100% sure paint gradient tool in photoshop do it. Less sure about in other image editing program (paint.net etc) for the reason I never did it with them, but I can't see the reason why not.

(Specifically I'm thinking about typing a text, turn it into image, and then color it with paint gradient tool)

There's fontwork in open office that should be able to do that.

Don't suppose you know how to acess and work that h'uh? Not seeing anything that counts like that on my end. my open office might be a bit out of date though, it's version 3.4 i beleive.

This (https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Impress_Guide/Using_Fontwork) should help of things haven't changed too much. If it's not already visible, it is kinda hard to find.
