So my party is about to go and talk to a really powerful fey creature because she is guarding a magic sword that they want. They are going to have to complete 3 tasks in order to get the sword. The first one will be to escort a guy to a tree and leave him there. The tree is actually a Gallows Tree that will begin to eat the man when the party starts moving away.
After they deal with that, the second task she has for them is to take a sapling that she gives them and plant it in the middle of their homebase town. Now this sapling is not going to be a Gallows Tree, but instead something beneficial but the idea is to scare the party a bit and make them think its a Gallows Tree. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any other magical trees or anything like that that the fey could give to the party? Feel free to get creative with it if there aren't any. Thanks
