Aranea monster class questions

Starting at the 6th level a Aranea casts a a 3rd level sorcerer, so could i continue leveling as a sorcerer when the monster class is over?

You would have the class features (i.e., familiar progression) based on your actual Sorcerer level, but your spells known and spells per day would include your racial casting.

Note that if you want to take casting-improving prestige classes (such as Archmage) later, you need a level of sorcerer first. These classes can't improve your racial casting if there's no sorcerer levels improving it.

That may be true by a strict reading of RAW, but the only thing those kinds of classes advance are the exact thing provided by racial spellcasting. There's no really good reason to require an actual level in the base spellcasting class if you happen to qualify for something else that advances spellcasting.
