With chaining force pop ups that force you to go to phishing or spam sites, I'm using it less and less. Sadly iOS doesn't allow anti-phishing or anti-malware software so kind of stuck.

I'm about to convert the srd, but I'd thought I'd ask if anyone knows of a low ad sites in service? Wizards explodes on iOS devices with their high bandwidth self ads so they are out sadly.

If no, no worries, I will just convert it all myself. :)

Thanks!

Maybe you could find a different browser? I don't know much about mobile browsers, but surely someone has made one that blocks JS, iframes, popups, and all the other annoying things.

I have a browser on my phone that is strict for sites like that. I used to use it normally, but they changed the default search from Google to Bing, so I keep it for extreme situations. I find the site is generally cooperative on mobile if I do not use the internal search function as well. If you want to search it use the "site:" command on Google.

We're not really allowed to talk about sites outside of the official SRD. Since those sites tend to be less than legal.

That being said, if someone does have a fully legal source of SRD-like sites, then that'd be good info, so I'll be following this thread.

The point of the SRD is that anyone can use it so long as they follow the license. They're not "less than legal" at all. Only sites that include non-SRD content would fall under that category.

Ah, that'd be my bad then. I was unaware of that distinction.

Here (http://dndsrd.net) is my favorite SRD site, I don't think there are many (if any) ads there.

Yeah, the official SRD isn't even a website, it's a downloadable set of text files.

I think they're still hosted by WotC, though I haven't checked recently. I did try to find the OGL documents recently, but it seems like WotC has removed them for some reason. I found that a bit strange.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Realmshelp website licensed?

Not sure which site the OP is referring to, but I have always used http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm

Unless it is something new, I never get pop ups or other bad behavior.

You can get really toxic adds on mobile on that site.

You mean the site I mentioned?
If so, i guess my ad blocker works, because I'm not getting them on either of my iOS devices.
Not willing to turn it off to check tho

d20srd.org got bought out a while back, it's not surprising they're full of ads now. If you can't run adblock on your phone. . . stop buying hardware you're not allowed to control?

I'll have to start using dndsrd. The ads and redirects on d20srd were getting annoying but for some reason I never thought to look for another site.

Adblock has a browser for iOS and Android.

It's a firefox fork, works great.

You can get an adblock extension for Chrome, as well.
