View Full Version : Werewolf question (WoD)
Am I right in assuming that for a werewolf to shift forms, they only need one sucess on their Stamina+Survival+Primal Urge roll? I can't seem to find that anywhere.
Also, do werewolves get knocked out when max bashing damage is taken, or do they stay up like vampires?

IIRC, shifting is Stamina+Primal Urge; Survival, in the oWoD, didn't have anything to do with it.

New World of Darkness: One success is all that matters.
NWoD: Technically. They fall down, but next round they heal 1 bashing and none of it matters anymore. I just rule it as "You don't fall down for bashing"

And for completeness' sake...
oWOD, from memory, requires one success per "step" shifted (i.e. 4 successes to go from homid to lupus, with a shortage of successes means you get stuck in between).
That or spend rage to go Crinos. And, in my opinion, any semi-experienced shifter should be houseruled to be able to do it automatically in both oWOD and nWOD, to cut back on pointless dice rolling that you're going to pass anyway.
