Need advice - items in a trading caravan

I need some flavor item to add into a caravan. It is already carrying cloth, silks, flour, bundles of wheat, and a few giant wheels of cheese (in a wagon not being carried by gnolls).

What other items would you put in there that would be worthless to PCs in general l, but would add flavor to the interaction with the caravan?

It kinda depends on where the caravan came from. Pottery and jewelry would seem to fit, as both are "luxury" items (like the silk, especially if they have silk clothing). Seeds for exotic crops, maybe just a few more unusual food items, etc.

Perhaps one member of the caravan could be a tinkerer, and have things such as a water clock, telescope, or other such gadgets.

Furs was a common trading commodity. As well as metals.
