Why only during your turn? Is there a text for that?

The correct answer is "[y]ou can end concentration at any time (no action required)."

Yeah, I'm like 90% sure dropping concentration is a free action.

Woops, sorry about that. Apparently we have a table rule that it can only be done during your turn.
