Magic Word/Notes?

Im trying to remember a casting class. Im not sure if it was here or PF but i figure i might as well ask the public since it would be far faster then my brain trying to remember cause I am dumb.

Essentially you would cast or sing and a literal pyshcial form of the Word or Musical Note would appear and could be "sent" or shot at the enemy you were targeting.

I know of nothing that does it in DnD, but it is literally a thing in Fairy Tail. Wonder if that is a hint?

I can say I swear up and down reading it from a book and if DnD doesnt have it it must of been PF. and my Dm doesnt allow Pf. Damn.

Closest I can think of is Sound Striker (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/bard/archetypes/paizo-bard-archetypes/sound-striker/) Bard from PF... but I don't think the Weird Words are actually visible.
