Mage and spell question

When you chose a school/Arcane tradition the advantages are cheaper spells to inscribe in your spell book and the specific options of your school at 2nd/6th/10th/14th level right?

But if your school was illusion there is nothing to prevent you having Fire Ball spell at the appropriate level to go along with your illusionary fire balls right?

Correct. You can use spells of all schools.

to go along with your illusionary fire balls right?Now I'm curious. Not any of the Image spells because they all are revealed on physical interaction. Not Phantasmal Force because that's a 10ft area. Phantasmal Killer against a target afraid of fireball wielding wizards?
