Hi folks!! ...can someone point me to a variant ( not homebrew) paladin that trades spells for something else? One ofy players decided he doesnt wnt to have the casting and we were wondering of there was an ACF for that?

There's an incredibly bad version in Complete Warrior, and a marginally better version (Holy Warrior) in Complete Champion. The former gives fairly crappy bonuses like your weapon counting as Good-aligned (6th) and getting +4 to an ability 1/day as a standard action (11th); the latter gives you bonus feats off a decent list at 4th, 8th, 11th and 14th levels.

You could just have him play a Crusader. It's like a Paladin, but without spellcasting (and also much more playable). If you're feeling cruel, you could have him play a Knight, which is like a Paladin but much less playable.

I know this is for 3.5 - but Pathfinder has three Paladin archetypes that give up spellcasting that your player might enjoy:

- Warrior of the Holy Light (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo-paladin-archetypes/warrior-of-the-holy-light/) - trades spellcasting for supernatural light-themed powers that scale with level.
- Temple Champion (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo-paladin-archetypes/temple-champion/) - trades spellcasting for domain power and blessings
- Tempered Champion (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo-paladin-archetypes/temple-champion-paladin-archetype/) - trades spellcasting for Fighter abilities, scaling damage with her deity's favored weapon, and increased ability to buff said weapon.

Knights get a bad rap. Your Challenge isn't that good, but it's useful reasonably often. Even without that, you're arguably the best non-Crusader tank-- you can block charges and tumbling, and take damage meant for an ally. Grab a reach weapon and improved trip and you're top-notch at locking down the field. They're not by any means amazing, but I'd take a Knight over a spell-less Paladin.

So...yeah, Knight isn't a bad replacement for a Paladin without spells. Especially if you want to get a little homebrew-y and slap on Lay on Hands and Special Mount.

If you start with the Pathfinder Paladin - there are a few archetypes which trade away the spell-casting.
