The Hunter

The hunter is an expert tracker and bounty hunter, willing to go to any means to track and subdue thier target. For a price. Hunters vary in any means immaginable, and come from any alignment, race, or region.

HD: d8
Class Skills: Balance, Bluff, Climb, Craft, Disguise ,Escape Artist, Forgery, gather Information, Hide, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (Local), Listen, Move Silently, Sence Motive, Spot, Survival, Use Magic Device

Track: As a bonus feat
Mark: At seconed level and every three levels thereafter, the Hunter gains a new mark. See Bloodhound class feature (CA)
Grapple Bonus: At seconed level and every three levels thereafter, the hunter gains a +2 compotence bonus on grapple checks.
Counter Grapple: See Reaping Mauler class feature (CW)
Knife Fighter (PGtF): As bonus feat
Tenacous Persuit: See Bloodhound class feature (CA)
Hog Tie: See Justicar class feature (CW)
Sleeper Lock: See Reaping Mauler class feature (CW)
Swift Tracker: See Bloodhound class feature (CA)
Improved Hog Tie: See Justicar class feature (CW)
Skulk: Get +5 compotence bonus on Hide and Move silently checks opposed to a mark
Devestating Grapple: See Reaping Mauler class feature (CW)

d10 HD + All good saves + 4+Int skills + Full BAB = overpowered. Turn down a couple things. Try a d8 HD, and drop the good Reflex save. After all, these guys are grapplers and are probably not as good at dodging as they are at taking the hit.

Tell me, Mr. Celestis, have you ever grappled a three hundred pound sweaty guy? 8HD does not begin to convey that. 10 HD stays, but I will lower the reflex save. Any comments on class features?

I agree with Fax, drop the hit die. Your example is more of the guy with a +4/+5 con modifier. I haven't been grappled by a 300 pound guy, but I believe the guy was 216, so I think its close enough, and I don't think he had a d10 hit die, just a high con modifier(in fact, the flavor text describes those that have higher con's as larger and heavier, so it would fit).

I have indeed, and at 125 that's a mite dangerous. Thankfully, I have many many ranks in Escape Artist.

My point stands: it's a bit overpowered.

I dunno. All that Grapple Bonus looks mighty dangerous. Are their other Base Classes that get this sort of adjustment?
