Here's a buffed false life (compare it to heal), plus my take on that spell from Buffy the Vampire Slayer where Willow lays the beat-down on her :D (intended as a buffed version of transformation, but still inferior to and less flexible than shapechange).

False Life, Greater
Necromancy

Level:
Sor/Wiz 6

Components:
V, S, M

Casting Time:
1 standard action

Range:
Personal

Target:
You

Duration:
1 hour/level

You harness the power of unlife to grant yourself supernatural vigour. While this spell is in effect, you gain temporary hit points equal to 10 per caster level (maximum +150). Furthermore, you gain a +6 resistance bonus on any effect that requires a Fortitude save that does not specifically affect undead (unless the effect also works on objects or or is harmless).

Material Component
A small amount of alcohol or distilled spirits, which you use to trace certain sigils on your body during casting. These sigils cannot be seen once the alcohol or spirits evaporate.

Strength of the Undead
Necromancy (Evil)

Level:
Sor/Wiz 8

Components:
V, S, XP

Casting Time:
1 standard action

Range:
Personal

Target:
You

Duration:
10 minutes/level

You harness the power of unlife to grant yourself the strength and combat prowess of the mightiest undead warriors.

You gain an enhancement bonus to your Strength and Dexterity scores equal to one-half your caster level and temporary hit points equal to 10 per caster level (maximum +250). Furthermore, you gain a +8 resistance bonus on any effect that requires a Fortitude save that does not specifically affect undead (unless the effect also works on objects or or is harmless).

You gain proficiency with all simple and martial weapons. Your base attack bonus equals your character level and you gain the unarmed strike and flurry of blows (including greater flurry) class features of a monk of your character level.

XP Cost
300 XP.

This looks fine, since temp HP do not stack, although you have two or's when talking about the Fort save "(unless the effect also works on objects or or is harmless)."

I would say possibly put this at a 9, but wish and what not is there so...with the xp cost 8 should be fine... I think... I would put a max on that enhancement bonus, otherwise things get out of hand very quickly...
All in all these look great

Greater False Life looks just fine.

Strength of the Undead....er, well does not fit. Really this is just ''Superior False Life'' and not ''Strength of the Undead'' in any way at all. And it's sure not an ''evil'' spell. So just make it ''Superior False Life and drop the evil part.

Strength of the Undead should be more like ''a vile profane bonus'' that makes your attacks ''evil'' and do energy damage and lets you do a Death Knell like effect once a round...
