2 person multiplayer games recommendation

Hi all!
My brother is coming over this weekend and we're planning to play a whole pile of games.
I'm looking for recommendations regarding 2 person multiplayer games, either coop, or competitive.
RTS's are not on the table, but anything else is.
Looking for fun or interesting ones, ideally on steam.

2 computers. Both on wifi, but lan is a possibility too.
No idea if games still offer that as an option.

Chaos: Reborn. (PvP Turn Based Strategy)
Warframe (Co-op and free to play 3rd Person Action Shooter).
Warhammer End Times: Vermintide (Co-op FPS Left-4-Dead-alike)
Don't Starve (Co-op Survival Horror)
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (Co-op and/or PvP 3rd-Person Survival Shooter)

The Tales games let a second player control the other members of your party during combat. I do that sometimes with a friend when he comes over.

Earth Defense Force is good mindless fun too.

Not a lot of great co-op games these days sadly. Any kind of fighting game is co-op obviously.

Alien Swarm in steam is coop, free and super fun.

Magicka is a massive amount of co-op fun.

In the search area, do PC, 2-players, online co-op, sort by release date and/or rating and then cross-reference with Steam/Origin/etc.

The Army of Two series are awesome and have this in mind, but I don't know if any of them made it to PC. Sacred is an awesome Diablo style game that's easy to pick up and works well over LAN.
