Are you saying that you will use the OGL to create your own thing?

I'm guessing this is a thing from the playtest versions of 5e? I never got a chance to look at them.

I believe the OP's specialties refer to class archetypes. Choose a race, a class, an archetype (although that comes later at 2nd or 3rd level) and a background to make a character.

Personally, I like it a lot, but other games do it equally well with simpler or more complex mechanics
