Lore master Rulings

If a character takes 7 levels in wizard, 10 levels in Lore master prestige class, then 1 in bard, can they roll 3 different times for a knowledge?

Like, once for their general roll, once for bardic knowledge, then again for Lore?

Or only once still?

RAW you get 3 rolls, since the information you would get may possibly come from 3 distinct sources of knowledge.

RAI I'd rule that bardic and loremaster ability stack, and so they become 1 source. Basically the same happens if you're a bard and you get lore and some rank in knowledge [x].

Please consider that knowledge [x] kinda represents academic studies, while lore relates more to legends and folklore. The latter is therefore more flexible (since you may apply it to every field), but the insight you get tends to be more cryptic.
