I didn't see anyone talking about it so I figured I should make a thread.
The Stream of Annihilation is 12 hour streams on the D&D twitch channel on June 2nd and 3rd from 10 am PST to 10 pm PST. At the start of the stream Mike Mearls, Chris Perkins, and other members of the D&D team will be announcing the new adventure path! The only info we have so far is this (https://i.redd.it/48q8ss4hunzy.jpg) bit of art, which features an Eastern looking cityscape with people riding dinosaurs. Eberron? Chult? Sword Coast? Who knows! Teams of D&D streamers, youtubers, and "influencers" are meeting up from all over the world in Seattle to test out and the new adventure and stream it! This is apparently the start of a push to mix D&D and livestreaming more.
I got this information from this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEH1BX4m0eY&t=303s) interview with Greg Tito, communications manager for D&D, and this (http://dnd.wizards.com/streamofannihilation) announcement article on the D&D website.
So. What do y'all think? Even if you're not interested in livestreaming, a new adventure path is always interesting, especially if it's not in the Sword Coast again. In the interview, Tito said that when writing the Monster Manual for 5e the team mapped out all the major adventures they wanted to hit within 5 years, and dropped hints and clues about it. Time to scour the dinosaur entries for hints, I guess!
