I've seen hexmaps printed that are scaled to gaming miniatures and I think they'd improve my games drastically. I cannot find any sort of file or indication of size online though, and don't particularly fancy having to trial-and-error the issue. If anyone can direct me to an image or scale for figures on A4 hexmaps that would be wonderful, thanks in advance.

It depends on how big your figures are. I believe 1 inch bases are something of a standard. At this size, you're not going to get a lot of hexes on a single A4 sheet. Maybe one room or two small ones.

Set hex size to 1 inch and keep the colour to the default (the light blue is great if you want to make custom outlines with like black marker or something). If you want to save paper, reuseable overhead transparencies can be overlaid and have maps and obstacles predrawn.

This is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!
