Hey folks,
Ray and I are tackling another way of raising money for our Team In Training fundraising event - we've put together our own raffle. Here's the story: we've compiled three gift basket prizes to win in three separate drawings. You can buy tickets at either 1 for $5 or 3 for $10, and they can be for any prize you want, so if you bought three and want two to go to one prize and one to another, that's just fine. We will be selling tickets throughout all of August and drawing for the winners on the 31st. The prize baskets are as follows:
- Basket 1: $50 gift certificate to Maya Theaters and a bucket of candy. (This may be the least interesting since I have no idea how widespread Maya is, but it's one of the nicest theaters out in our area.)
- Basket 2: Starbucks' Aroma Solo coffee maker, an extra coffee mug/thermos, and 2 bags of coffee beans
- Basket 3: An HP 6 megapixel digital camera, an HP Photo printer (the camera and printer work together; no computer required!) and 150 sheets of photo paper
The prizes will be mailed out if the winner is not in the Salinas/Monterey area, so you don't have to worry about picking it up if you live somewhere else (which I believe is most of you). You can purchase the tickets by making donations on our webpages at

Just be sure to let us know when you donate that you wish to enter the raffle as well and which prizes you want your tickets to go to.
