Is there any place where one could find a list of magic items (the bigger the better) sorted by slot?

There are tables at the back of that book that sort the items by slot, in order of ascending price.

Check http://chet.kindredcircle.org/ they've got a semi-comptehensive tables of everything 3.5, though the tables do have some omissions (on a related note, where would be a good free place to upload a pdf file for distribution? I spent like 18 hours fixing the omissions from my copy of their spell table and adding an appendix of psionic powers and the spell lists for obscure classes like the blighter, temple-raider of olidammara, magewright, and urban adept)

Google Drive makes things shareable. For example, here's a mirror of Curmudgeon's domain list hosted on my drive: link (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0AYNSTc94bDYmxIWUFNYmVkY1k). You just need to enable sharing by either pressing the "get shareable link" button, or going into the options for the file and enabling it.
