I'm currently playing the UA Mystic Soul Knife, currently using a modified version of it. The Mystical Recovery in this version only heals HP from a Discipline of your Order, meaning only Soul Knife disciplines will heal me (Yes this version has some homebrew SK Disciplines).
Recently, my DM has suggested that the Mystical Recovery be changed to give me temp hp instead, but from any Discipline.
I'm not too sure about this. On one hand, I've always been discouraged in using my Psi Points until I have taken some damage, like delaying my Hone the Blade. This change will encourage me to use some abilities in the first round, especially if I go first. On the other hand, I will lose out on some self-sustain. Its an interesting proposition nonetheless. What do you guys think?
