Intro
Greetings, all!
I have been invited to join an online 3.5 game set in Faerun with the Faerunian World Tree cosmology. Party details are TBA, but we start at ECL12 (!) with a 28 point buy and standard wealth by level (88,0000G). Assume all official sources are allowed pending GM approval, including magazines.
Spells
I have been waiting for years to play with Circle Magic. For this, I was strongly considering Wizard5/Incantatrix2/Hathran5. (I may go specialist or domain Wizard and may slightly alter the first 5ish levels of this build to include other classes like Master Specialist, but that isn't the point here.) Her cohort is likely a Druid/Planar Shepherd (some plane in the Faerunian World Tree cosmology)/Hathran (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?526685-Planar-Shepherd-Best-planes-for-a-Faerunian-World-Tree-cosmology&p=22073462).
What Wizard (primarily) and Druid (secondarily) spells and spell schools work best with Circle Magic (that is, base caster level 40 and possibly also Empowered, Maximized, or/and Heightened to spell level 9)? For example, if this character blasts at CL40+, what spells should she use?
Roles for CL40+ all day seemingly include:
-Blasting! SR: Yes means little with a base caster level of 40! It won't overcome all SR, but it's probably enough for our purposes.
-Buffing! Reserves of Strength (if the GM allows the feat to uncap spells) means things like +10 or higher weapons with greater magic weapon. Regardless, CL40+ makes many spells very dispel-resistant and makes most spells last a long time.
-Dispelling. Greater dispel caps at +20 which Circle Magic and Reserves of Strength may be able to uncap. It's still generally better to buff us into near-undispellability.
-Summoning. Dispel resistant and long-lasting, but CL40+ is nowhere near as helpful on most summons as the above categories.
Powering Circle Magic
-For the Circle Mage on the go (the adventurous type), what are the best ways to use Leadership's followers to fuel Circle Magic?
