Technically, reading this comic is painful. There is no "first" link, and clicking on "previous" loads the previous comic into the same page. To actually read from the first comic: 1, enable scripting, then 2, click on the "1" on the list of comics. This brings up the first comic as an overlay on top of the page, and then left/right arrow navigates through the archives.

The story: It's a time loop, starting in 1985, with a teen-age girl in highschool. It quickly descends into "bunnies in black" (think "men in black"), and from there into ...

Well, it a very enjoyable archive binge, and it was a single session for me. Book one wraps up very nicely, and book two turns it up another notch.

Current comic (12 pages into book 2): http://www.iboxpublishing.com/jenny3/BIGwebcomic-Jenny-Mysterious_182.png

Just a reminder from two pages earlier, that bag contains shoes, not puppies.

Thank you for showing me this comic

I've archive binged, RSS subscribed, and I'm seriously considering supporting the patreon. That is some really solid young adult wish fulfillment. Hidden knowledge of the nature of reality, suddenly becoming a badass, a mysterious destiny waiting to be fulfilled, a sci-fi world really close to reality; this comic hits all the notes that the matrix or harry potter does, and it hits some of them better. I really like it now, but if I had discovered this at 14, it would have been my whole world.

... suddenly becoming a badass ...

And then comes book 2 and shoes/fashion.
And realize that she knew this would be needed because nothing else was working.

Now, the meta-question: Originally, she figured that being dumped back at an earlier age was an accident/error. What we found by the end of book 1 is that her whole history was being manipulated. I don't think it was "put her back there by accident" -- note that they are now manipulating stuff that happened earlier.

In other words, whatever it is that lets her go to that earlier time at the drug store -- I think they suspected the activation of some genes -- is the actual "start of her repetition", not the morning when she wakes up and things start happening quickly. And the ... hmm, did I miss a name for the being manipulating reality around her? -- beings that put her back did so near but not quite at the point where they are manipulating her time. -- EDIT: "Hyper Lizards".

... What are their limits on manipulation of the past? In book 2, she has not yet looped at all, and is having her "first" time -- with no apparent alterations. Are they only able to alter where someone is loop-capable and only to what affects a looper? If so, what will happen to our new looper?

I think I'll take another read with that question in mind.

Ok, so it's page 67 when she realizes that she has two memories for the day "before her loop".
Also, page 54 is the first time I see that backpack drawn, and 66 when she realizes it is there.
It is clearly not there on 44 with the bunnies, but drawn multiple times on 54, and then 55 is the police.

EDIT 1: 91 is "future Jenny" explaining that the loop is an artifact of other things, not the primary "what's happening".
EDIT 2: Aha. 111 is "Something other than the aliens are doing this now. They get do-overs. They wouldn't make the same time-placement loop error twice".
EDIT 3: 165/166 is the whole "genetics, and you've got it" thing.

Two more pages.

Remember, this is like the companion using the tardis and finding the doctor with an active "hide your true self" watch, and the companion having to run the show right now.

Oh, and there's a bunny in black. So things are about to happen.

Oh, and there's a bunny in black. So things are about to happen.

This is pretty interesting. Jenny's „bunny rabbits” speech hasn't happened yet, but it's effects are still there.
Or not? She did mention that it stopped working after one her (offscreen) loops during the robbery.
Does that mean this one choose this form voluntary? Inspired by Jenny's little trick maybe? Or is it the other way around?
Non-linear beings are confusing.

For some reason, comic 183 is no longer visible.

Maybe it's supposed to be a patreon-thing (the latest comic)?

Never read it.

And yet I've been sponsoring it on Patreon for almost 2 years.

Still not quite sure how that happened.

Oh man, just read through the whole thing. Can't wait for the next update. This would be a wonderful world to roleplay in.

Now up to 195.

Do girls in gym class really talk about the boys looking at them?

Now up to 197

Watching Tammy trying to talk to Jenny, get her to describe what she is feeling, given that Tammy knows about the upcoming future and how Jenny is going to be kinda super-important

Now up to 199.

This is sort-of a classic teenager thing. "There's something out there, I can almost feel it, but it's just out of my reach. Try harder".

Thanks for the link.
I just archive binged "Stardrop" because I couldn't get the other comic to work.
Nice comics, but a real pain in the bum to navigate.

Just realised that Jenny Mysterious is a spinn off from Stardrop, so here is a link:
http://www.iboxpublishing.com/index_stardrop.php#top_of_strip

Edit: so after watching his patreon Vid. I stand corrected: it's not a spinn off from Stardrop, it's just permanentely crossed over.

I wasn't sure which was spun-off from which.

Chapter 4 just started. Tammy is writing notes down to clarify her thoughts. This also serves as a summary of book two so far.
