Hey all. I've been playing 5E for a few years now (Mostly as DM) and I've become fairly experienced with creating homebrew content. However, I've never made a complete race before and, since they seem to be second only to new classes insofar as complexity is concerned, I figured I'd hop in here to see what people thought. I'm fairly sure the race is balanced and it offers a few things that are unique to it. So, without further ado, here is the Lepidan race:

Mothfolk (Lepida)

Your Lepidan character has a number of unique traits from years of adaption to the untamed forests they call home.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age. Mothfolk begin life in a larval stage before metamorphosing at roughly two to five years old. They reach maturity midway through their teens and live about 70 years. Elder Mothfolk often have lost their ability to fly due to the scales on their wings becoming too sparse.
Alignment. While they are reclusive and enigmatic, Mothfolk are known for their curiosity. Oftentimes, their appearances near other races' settlements will be considered a sign of a calamity in the near future. They tend toward ethical neutrality with a slight bent toward chaos.
Size. Mothfolk are generally slightly taller and slimmer than humans. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and can speak Lepidan. Lepidan is a spoken language composed of equal parts intonation and gesture. It is nearly impossible to speak comprehensible Lepidan without wings.
Darkvision. The striking red eyes of the Mothfolk grant you superior vision in dark environs. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Winged. A large, ornate set of wings adorn your back. These wings can be folded out of the way when not in use. Unfurling or tucking away your wings takes one action. When unfurled, your wings grant you a flying speed of 30 feet and reduce your base walking speed to 10 feet.
Subrace. Three different types of Lepidan colonies live in various types of wooded areas: Death's Head Lepidan, Calypt Lepidan, and Noctoid Lepidan. Choose one of these subraces.

Death's Head Lepida
Death's Head Mothfolk are the largest subrace of Lepidan. They are easily recognizable by the pattern of fur on their broad backs, which resembles a humanoid skull. Despite this, Death's Head Lepida are usually of a gentle, contemplative disposition. Other races often regard them with some amount of aversion due both to their fur patterning and because they are the most likely of all Mothfolk to appear before a disaster.
Death's Head Lepida tend to be colored in warm hues, with wide waves of darker coloration at the tips of the wings. They live in higher elevations than other varieties of Mothfolk and tend to prefer coniferous woods.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Natural Precognition. You know the True Strike cantrip. You may also choose to cast it as a bonus action. You may use this feature a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus, after which you may only cast the spell as a full action.

Calypt Lepida
Calypt Mothfolk are dark-hued, xenophobic, and known for being the most aggressive of all Lepida. While they feed almost exclusively on fruit, some Calypts have been observed using their distinctive needle-like proboscis to suck the blood of defeated enemies or painting their faces with blood. They tend to settle in the deepest, darkest regions of the forests they call home and respond violently to trespassers on their lands.
Despite this, Calypt aggression is usually a warning gesture rather than an intent to kill. Visitors that show proper deference and respect may be cautiously accepted in their territory.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Calypt Weapon Training. You gain proficiency in the shortsword, longsword, spear, rapier, and pike.
Threatening. You gain proficiency in the Intimidate skill and add double your proficiency bonus to all checks made in that skill, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Noctoid Lepida
The most common and smallest of the Mothfolk, Noctoids are nonetheless one of the most secretive and mysterious of all intelligent races. Noctoids are generally content to watch others from the shadows, revealing themselves only out of desperation. Those lucky few who are invited into a Noctoid colony are often surprised to find them hidden in plain sight. Bushes pruned to appear naturally grown are set next to particularly aligned boulders that denote living and working spaces. To those unfamiliar with the typically peaceful Noctoid Lepida, the fact that they are ever present, yet unseen, can be unnerving.
Noctoid Mothfolk are generally speckled brown or similar colors, which helps them to blend in with their surroundings.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Supernatural Camouflage. You know the Blur spell. You may cast this spell a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus.
