I want to play an EK and I don't know which spell to use.

Well the most obvious is Shield and Absorb Elements if u have access to EEPG. After that needs some thought. How are u going to play? Because great weapon is gonna use,spells differently then sword and board or ranged.

I'd suggest you first read the two guides about Eldricht Knight that are available here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?459344-Eldritch-Knight-Tactica-by-Nightsteel) and there (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?479532-Bellator-Arcana-The-Eldritch-Knight-s-guide) then come back if you have questions about specific tactics or problems/opportunities specific to your character. :)

EDIT: don't take everything it say in guides as "truth" or "objective facts" though, just view it as a bunch of inspirational ideas but don't let them block you from making the character you want to play. There is (nearly) always a solution to make it work. :)
