Hello, a PC in my campaign is trying a new build out and we are trying to figure out if the combo works or not.
Main question involves the spell lightning blade from CA and familiar's share spell ability. He plans to share the lightning blade with his familiar which can wield the blade so both can launch the blade and effectively deal 2*CL in d6's.
The question involves the wording from the share spell ability in particular, "At the master’s option, he may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) he casts on himself *also* affect his familiar". Notably the word "also" there. Does that mean both the familiar and the wizard have the sword for discharge purposes. IE if the wizard discharges the lightning blade does the familiar's blade also get discharged?
