Under mystics mastery of light and darkness, there is the ability darkness. It seems like the spell in terms of being magical darkness and suppressing light of 2nd level or below. However it isn't castable on an object, has between 10-70 foot radius, and (and here is where things start becoming really different) doesn't take concentration.
As it doesn't take concentration, we actually don't have specific length of time for which the ability lasts. Under the duration paragraph under disciplines it says that if the duration isn't mentioned, it's assumed instantaneous.
So how does this abillity work? Are you creating a small permanent dark aura until it's dispelled/removed? Is it just a little flash of darkness with no real use? Is it assumed to be the same duration of the darkness spell (10 min) but doesn't require concentration?
