I need help with DFI and changing the damage type

I have a simple question, what is the easiest way to change the damage in DFI to something that is not fire because a ton of things have resistance to fire, or is it not worth it and should I just use IC in those cases, thanks!

A 1 level dip into Dragon Shaman will do it (as per the sidebar in Dragon Magic page 18).

Otherwise, take a Draconic Heritage feat that gives an energy type you prefer. To qualify to take these feats you may need the Dragontouched feat first.

What are you looking at for your race? That will make a difference on the best way to do it.

You may be better off going normal Human, using your bonus feat to pick up Dragontouched, then a Draconic Heritage feat that gives the energy type you want.
