So I decided that I'd make a archery focused Fighter. Usually when I make a martial class, I make it so that I am getting into close quarters combat, but I thought I'd take a step back and use bows.

Any tips and help on optimization, using the character itself, and roleplay will be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking for optimization, intelligence does little to nothing for you (especially since you have no skills involving it) while wisdom can do quite a lot. Medicine is borderline useless as a skill compared to perception or insight, especially perception. I'd only take it for roleplaying. The same can be said for woodcarver's tools, but I'm absolutely certain that's there for roleplaying so that's perfectly fine. Considering both tools, if one of them isn't there for roleplaying and you don't have a dedicated rogue or bard in your party, you might want to consider thieves' tools instead. Far more applications, and there seems to be a good reason for it in your story (given the sleight of hand proficiency). Speaking of, while SoH is definitely useful, acrobatics is more widely applicable and will come up more often if you can afford it.

do you have any idea what archetype you're looking at taking?

My recommendation would be battle master, as precision attack combo's really nicely with sharpshooter.
