move action teleport question

Can you take a 5ft step, then use a teleport that takes a move action? I literally see no reason why you couldn't, but I feel like I need to ask, because of the rule about no 5ft stepping if you move this turn..

Yes. However, if you move using land speed (literally announcing you choose to walk) then you can't 5 foot step.

It depends to a certain extent on whether you consider teleportation to be "movement". If yes, then no 5-foot step. If no, then take your 5-foot step.
