How would you build this character

I'm basing my character on Dante from the new Devil May Cry games. I was thinking of using Pact of the Blade Warlock for the weapon switching aspect and to do the grappling with Eldritch Blast taking the pull/push invocations.

But was wondering if this board has any advice on how to better recreate him and still be rather viable. We are starting at level 5

Blade pact fiend warlock will do the trick. Dante tanks hits with his body and often picks up health from slain enemies. Fiend pact gives you temporary HP whenever you kill something. Refluff eldritch blast as handguns.
