Dinosaurs are on the table, the DM actively wants me to take a Dinosaur and I want this, too.

Considering that, I've narrowed my choices down to:

- Allosaurus
- Ankylosaurus
- Deinonychus
- T-Rex

I really like the Ankylosaurus for its Stun ability and armor, but Con 9?!?

Seriously, those Constitution scores really don't make sense to me. A small thing like the Deinonychus has Con 17, while the larger creatures have like 10 (or 9).

The Allosaurus and Deinonychus seem rather similar, except the Deinonychus seem smaller and better. Am I missing something?

The T-Rex seems the gain steam at level 7, but underpowered (compared to the other 3) until then.

Has anyone experience with those choices?

Is the Con 9 of the Ankylosaurus a big problem?
Is the Allosaurus really just a worse Deinonychus?

If you have access to MMIII, I'd suggest going with the Fleshraker and never looking back.

Otherwise, Deinonychus for the Pounce attack. It's extremely useful.

The Fleshraker is from the 3.5 MM3, not a pathfinder creature.

Allosaurus also gets Pounce.

T-Rex and Ankylosaurus are single attack creature, so the don't need Pounce.

The reason they have low con is because of the mechanics of lowering their size. The deinonychous stays at its normal size so it keeps its normal con. The huge ones like the Ankylosaur or T-Rex get shrunk in order to be an appropriate size for you, and when they shrink they lose Con.
