Note, this is for Pathfinder. Is there a feat like selective spell that works for non-instantaneous spells? Or a way to make selective spell work for non-instantaneous spells?

Nothing about selective spell seems to indicate a limitation to instantaneous spells

Edit: Nevermind, it occurs to me you're refering to the pathfinder version of the metamagic feat, which I might suggest you add as a tag to the thread.
