Hi to all! I'm starting a level 20 campaign and i'm thinking on doing a melee bard. I'm planning on something like barbarian x/bard x/warchanter 10 but i'm not sure how it will perform. There are some other prestige classes that are worth taking (maybe one level of frienzed berserker?) Some dip in other classes could be useful, but apart from fighter for the feats i'm not sure. There are some talent that increase my inspire courage ability?

Tl;dr i'm planning on a something like a viking skald, some advice? All manuals are permitted (TOB is frowned upon but if it is not too nuch should not be a problem)

Thanks!

you could ask to use the pathfinder skald, it has that as a class.

Here's a build I came up with some time ago for a Cha based Barbarian melee party buffer/leader/face.
Marshal 2/ Barbarian (Spirit Totem: Lion ACF -CC, Wolf Totem ACF - UA, Whirling Frenzy ACF - UA, City Brawler - Drag#349, Skilled City Dweller (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070228a) {Ride for Tumble} 2/ Paladin of Freedom 3/ Warrior Skald 3/ Warchanter 10

@zeflin: that seems definitely worth a check!

@gorfnab: it was a lot more than expected, thanks!

Bard 4/Warblade X, focus on White Raven manoeuvres, take Song of the White Raven.

If you did Bard 4/Warblade 2/Abjurant Champion 5/Warblade +X, you'd lose 5 levels of Inspire Courage but cast as a Bard 9 with a caster level equal to your BAB.
