I'm looking to build a campaign where the characters have to recover 12 items which give set bonuses like from the Magic Item Compendium of 3.5
3 items for 4 characters, 1 fighter type, 1 medic type, 1 magic user and 1 generalist.
Once a character has got hold of at least 2 of their set items, they get a bonus. Having all 3 gives a bigger bonus, and having all 12 items gives a bigger boost to the party.
Aim of the campaign is to use these items to beat up the big bad guy, whose intent is to destroy the world. I was going to try doing the campaign without dragons and have set bonus being to transform into one, but tbh, im not sure how to pull that off correctly.
Any thoughts about what these 12 items could be, and what set bonuses could be assigned to them?
