S-Tier is pretty much primo tier; it implies supreme, special, super etc. S+ is better than S.

DPS is damage per second.

DPS is damage per second, DPSp is damage per spell (slot?)

That rating is derived from Japanese system, I think, seen in some video games. I personally prefer western tier 1, 2, 3... system.

S, S+, and so forth are not acronyms. they're a fairly common ranking system used in video games for various things, which has extended to other areas as well. a bit of research suggests that it comes from japanese grading systems, where it is the next grade above A, awarded for 99-100%

DPSp is most likely DPS with a typo.

What's DPSp?I'm guessing you read one of my posts recently, because I made that up in the Magic Missile vs Chromatic Orb thread.

I mean Damage per Spell. Or Spell Slot, if you prefer. I used it because DPR didn't feel right, since you're also expending a limited resource.
