Any good wizard guides? Because I am unable to locate any good, reliable ones. I am looking to build a good evoker and/or abjurer

I think there's a handful of wizard guides in Daishain's metathread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?377491-Guides-Tables-and-other-useful-tools-for-5E-D-amp-D).

this guide is a classic, it was salvaged off the old WotC forums and is very good.

Treantmonk was the guy that made me play a wizard effectively.

But still, I would read other guides as well. Treantmonk has some ingrained 3.5 mentality and his writting looks very uncompromising.

He coined (afaik) the God Wizard term. That is, a support wizard, who lives in the background, shaping the battlefield, enhancing your friends and putting your foes into "suck mode". This wizard usually is the most relevant member of the party.
But due to the concentration mechanic in 5.0, this wizard archetype isn't so easily achievable. Still, if you want to play a God Wizard, Treantmonk's guide is second to none. Otherwise, check the thread linked by hymer.
