"A huge worm bursts from the reedy muck in front of you. Letting loose a fearsome roar slimy frills rise from behind its neck. Its chitinous green-brown hide glistens of the swamp even as several feelers, each longer than a man, grope towards you..."

The Muckorhaz, as named by those knowledgeable of their artic kin, is a creature of slime and filth. A territorial predator, the muckorhaz will percieve any disturbance in its immediate vicinity as a threat.

Slime: The muckorhaz's body constantly generates a highly acidic viscous coating of slime.
When a character comes in contact with the slime (through bite attack or character melee attack) he is subject to 3d8 of acid damage (fort DC 14 for 1/2). Any weapon that contacts the muckorhaz must suceed a DC 12 fort save or be warped into an unusable material from acid.

Slime Shot: Up to three times a day the muckorhaz may 'exhale' a ball of slime at any one creature. This has a range of 40 ft. and he must succeed on a ranged touch attack to hit for 4d8 of acid damage. (reflex DC 13 for 1/2)

Mucksense: Functioning as blindsense this gives the muckorhaz a mental picture (void of color) 60 ft. radious around into muck.
Note: The muckorhaz does not have functioning eyes.

Gullet: Same as rhemorhaz.

This is a monster I made some time ago for a friends campaign and it seems rather balanced but I welcome any comments or criticism. :)
