[3.5] Set List Spontaneous Casters

Not sure if I'm using the accepted terminology, but I'm referring to spontaneous casters who know every spell on their list for a given spell level. The three obvious examples are the Beguiler, Dread Necromancer, and Warmage.

Arguably also the Witch variant class listed in the DMG (p.175), although I believe the intent is for it to use a similar "spells known" mechanic to the Sorcerer.

Anyhow, I recently stumbled across a PrC with the same mechanic the other day (Mortal Hunter), and I was wondering if there are others.


The mortal hunter’s spell list appears below; it has access to any spell on the list and need not prepare those spells ahead of time, just as a sorcerer.

That's a fun question. Using Troacctid's list (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1geywITbI4M-Up08SGD-rUHlnobR66aIgKqu7mILkmhU/edit#gid=1339089860) and some investigation it looks like:

Sinker (Dragon #287) L1-2, arcane
Taker (Dragon #287) L1-4, arcane
Fiendslayer (Dragon #287) L1-4, arcane
Demonologist (Vile Darkness) L1-4, arcane
Mortal Hunter (Vile Darkness) L1-4, arcane
Harper Scout (FRCS) L1-3, arcane sort of---unlimited spell known possible but not automatic
Purebreath Devotee (Dragon #314) L1-4, divine "and cannot add to this list"
Beholder Mage (LoM) L0-9, arcane, sort of---unlimited spell known possible but not automatic

suel arcanamach (CArc) L1-5, arcane, as sorcerer but restricted schools
vigilante (CAdv) L1-4, arcane, as bard but restricted schools

Unfortunately, both the Vigilante and Suel Arcanamanch have a Spell Known mechanic, same as Bard or Sorcerer.

Artificers know the entire standard infusion list and cast them spontaneously, and can learn as many as the DM allows them to invent or find.
