Animal Companion At Level-3 Replacement

So, I'm getting an animal companion. Twice. Once at level, and once at level-3. However, the DM is (for the moment) ruling I only get one companion.

What'd be an appropriate replacement for the second companion? Something of similar power, and thematic to a Druidish character. (Specifically, a Nature Incantar.)

Nature Specialization (grants an animal companion at level 1, as if you are a Druid of your Incantar level) and Animal Domain (grants a companion at level 4 as if you are a Druid of your Cleric (Incantar, though, in this case) level minus 3).
