Sorry if this isn't meant to be posted in this section of the form haven't been here in a while.

I wanted to start my own campaign I have what I think might be a good story planned out up to around the first boss I want them to fight. I recently started playing the Witcher 3 and my god I loved the game. I wanted to possibly implement some of the Witcher 3 elements into my campaign. Such as some of the monsters in the game such as drowners for example, I also wanted to implement some of the vampires into my story Higher and lesser vampires. I was wondering if anyone here has ran a campaign with some Witcher 3 (or any of the other 2 games) inspiration in the campaign, or perhaps if anyone knows of some home brewed monsters that people have created.

I guess the question I have is, how much of Witcher do you plan to draw from? Do you just want some Witcher monsters, or were you looking to make a world with more of the tone of the Witcher games? If it's the former, I'd ask which monsters in particular you want to include besides drowners and vampires. If it's the latter, I'd say that you'd need a lot of worldbuilding to set up the balance of different political powers, racism, and history behind different monsters.

I did find some well made witcher 3 monsters converted into dnd monsters. I was mostly planning on taking some monsters since a lot of them are just so cool in my eyes ;). I was thinking about taking some inspiration from some of the quests, like when you kill the woodland spirit, not just plain ripping it off obviously but take the premise of it.

Realtalk, if you pick up Storm King's Thunder, replace "Forgotten Realms" locations with "Skellige" locations, and MAYBE change the actual Giants to Barbarian tribes, you wouldn't be too far off.
