So just wanted to ask a couple of questions about skills and partake of the deep, deep knowledge of this board.

1. Is there a way (spell, item, feat) to reassign skill points in game? I am aware of the retraining rules in the PHB 2 but at 4 skill points every time you level up it is a bit slow.

2. Diplomacy ho! It's trivially easy to get high Diplomacy checks if you have access to Guidance of the Avatar, but it just takes so darn long. Is there any method to make rushed checks without gnarly penalties?

1. Psychic reformation. A power that makes Psions basically be able to emulate prepared magic.

2. There are spells to give you +10 bonuses on skills. Can't remember them off the bat.

2. Bind Naberius (ToM) either with 1 level of binder, or using a couple of binding feats. Allows a Diplomacy check as a standard action with no penalty.

It will probably get books thrown at your head, but... Exemplar 5's Persuasive Performance lets you substitute another skill check for Diplomacy. You can make Sleight of Hand checks as a free action if you take a -20 penalty.

Or would that count as "gnarly penalties"?

Yeah, it might have to be psychic reformation then.

As to the spells, Voice of the Dragon and Guidance of the Avatar are the big ones for Diplomacy really (I really should check if they stack.)

Thats it! I'm planning a Chameleon, so that floating feat should be perfect right here. When you have to talk to people, just tack on Naberius (and hope people don't notice you're a huge pontificating jackass).

-20 is pretty gnarly.

As hilarious as that sounds, unfortunately there's a clause in the ability that prevents it from working that way:

This ability requires at least 1 minute to perform, and it can affect a particular creature only once every 24 hours.

For 2: Changeling Rogue 1 does this too

Why would you do this when you could do 1 full round action at -10 penalty (It's in the PHB)
