What are the best spells to pick for greater spell immunity or ring of counterspells?

Yeah I already have greater dispel as one of my options for the ring of counterspells, though sadly you can't have spell immunity to it.

If you aim at immunity, go for a "Spellblade" weapon enchantment (Players guide to Faerun? iirc). One spell (determined at creation) is always absorbed by the weapon and you can release it next round on a new target if you want.

I would suggest to have it 2 times: (greater) Dispel Magic

Sad part is, that it only works with targeted spells. So it can't be used for Mage's Disjunction for which you should still rely on a ring of counterspells. But as it's a high lvl spell you don't have to deal with it for a long time.

People in my group seem to like Disintegrate for its use with force effects. YMMV but I'd say ignoring that would be pretty swell.
