Overchannel, psionic endowment, greater psionic endowment, enlarge power, mindsight, expanded knowledge, craft psionic arms and armour, extend power and focused skill user (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19121458&postcount=67) are great feats for an item to take.

Wild cohort or the spellfire feat from mgic of faerun.

I'd guess anything that'll let you get a living creature as a cohort to carry you around,if you don't already have a means of transportation.
