Didn't see anything about this yet, so link (http://www.fun-motion.com/physics-games/hammerfall/). It's currently in v0.2 (and is limited to 60 minutes per save), but even then, it is so awesome.

Basically you control a helicopter-thing, and you have the use of weapons with which you crush your foes. You can use flails, scimitars, hammers, axes, and possibly others I haven't gotten to yet. It's hard to get the hang of swinging stuff around at the start, but once you do get it, you'll be doing crushing swings with ease.
It's in Russian, and the English translation sucks (and is bugged - you need to switch to Russian for the slave fighting part), but you can get the basic gist of it most of the time anyway.
Controls: You move around with the mouse, and that's all you need to know at the start. Right-clicking throws your equipped weapon (you can generally get it back later if you can reach it). Left-clicking allows you to combine weapons (left click while one is selected, mouse wheel down to the one you want to combine it with, then left-click again). Combining a weapon with the shotgun allows you to fire it.

Well what are you waiting for? Go download it (http://www.fun-motion.com/physics-games/hammerfall/)! (Only 10 megs)

Does it have anything in common with the powermetal band?

Aside from the name? I highly doubt it.
