so I want to have an idea for a custom item to run by my GM

he's pretty cool about stuff like this as long as its with in the rules

and so I want to spend the last 8800 of my starting wealth on a custom item to boost my Dance skill and if all possible maybe some other spell like power added on to keep the dance theme or something Idk. like I said I have 8800 to spend But I am still new to pathfinder so I don't now everything

Is it bad that my first thought was a command word activated boom box with ghost sound to play music and give a circumstance bonus to the check?

Odds are a +5 item + ghost sound for music would be around 3K if a quick mental calculation is right.

A circlet of persuasion (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/c-d/circlet-of-persuasion) is a pre-existing item that grants a +3 bonus on Charisma-based checks, which includes Perform (Dance), and costs 4500 gp. You could maybe ask the DM about homebrewing a greater version, with an increased bonus and price.

Also, a masterwork tool (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment/goods-and-services/tools-kits/#TOC-Tool-Masterwork) costs 50 gold pieces and grants a +2 on a certain skill (or aspect thereof), while a masterwork instrument (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment/goods-and-services/toys-games-puzzles/) does the same thing for 100gp. (A tool is supposed to either only work on some applications of the skill or have a limited number of charges; an instrument is all applications all the time.) A masterwork tool / 'instrument' for dancing requires a little imagination, but I'm sure you could come up with something - finger cymbals? Diaphanous silk veils? Pointe shoes? Something like that.

That's a +5 between them for 4600 or so.

There are the bracers of the glib entertainer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/bracers-of-the-glib-entertainer/) that give +5 competence to perform, and have glibness as a 1/day SLA. They get a lot of their price from glibness, perhaps you could get tap inner beauty or a lesser level spell that would boost dance or perform. You might even be able to combine a belt of tumbling or some other cheap magic item relevant to dancing.

Also, the Boots of the Eternal Rose (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/boots-of-the-eternal-rose/) give a +2 competence bonus to both Perform:Dance and Stealth at a fairly low price of 4000 gold.

Both the bracers and the circlet give the same bonus type, so the bonuses for perform do not stack. Their prices are only slightly higher than the price of the boots. But, being able to give out flowers at will is a pretty cool effect for bards and skalds, and you still get the stealth bonus, which neither the bracers nor the circlet gives.
